Meeting: Event Center

Join our beginner beekeeping classes and learn the essential skills to care for your own hive, harvest delicious honey, and contribute to the health of our planet.

Topics will include:

  • Hive options, setup and maintenance
  • Bee biology and behavior
  • Honey harvesting and processing
  • Pest and disease control
  • Sustainable beekeeping practices

This series is presented by the Northwest Arkansas Beekeepers Association. The Northwest Arkansas Beekeepers Association (NWABA) provides area beekeepers with the opportunity to share information with others interested in beekeeping. The association also promotes the benefits of bees and beekeeping in Northwest Arkansas whether you are involved in backyard gardening or large scale agricultural operations. With over 225 members, our association has grown to become one of Arkansas's largest regional clubs for beekeeping. We have open membership, meaning anyone can join whether they keep bees or not.

This is a three-part series, and registrants will automatically be signed up for all three sessions upon registration.
