Learn the basics of 3D scanning for design and 3D printing.
Ever wanted to reconstruct a real-life object or person in 3D? In this introductory class, we will cover the fundamentals of photogrammetry and LiDAR technologies (all of which can be made using free software for both PC and smartphone!). The course will aim at providing practical insights into 3D scanning techniques, applications, and how to prepare a 3D model for 3D printing. This program is perfect for those with curiosities in prototyping, art, game design, and more!
Additional Fabrication and Robotics Lab Resources:
3D models created in this course can be printed in the Fabrication and Robotics Lab upon completion of the orientation. Find upcoming orientations for 3D Printing HERE.
No experience required. This program is designed for participants 13 and older.
All abilities are welcome. For disability accommodations, call 479.856.7050 or email centerforinnovation@faylib.org 2-3 days before a program.
