Conquer the Kitchen: Summer Salads *

Walker Family Teaching Kitchen (1st Floor)Join FPL's own Chef Amon as we learn how to prepare bright and vibrant salads using the best of a summer harvest!
In this class we will learn how to make several styles of salads to let those vibrant summer colors and flavors SHINE! Using nature's bounty and just the right balance of acid, oils, fresh herbs and seasonings, we will explore the spectrum of salad-making! *Hint: they're not all lettuce based.
Please be prepared with the following safety guidelines:
- Hairnets and aprons will be provided. You may wear a clean hat of your own if you prefer.
- Long hair should be restrained.
- Please wear long pants and closed-toed shoes.
*Potential common allergens: nightshades, gluten, soy, dairy and egg. Please inform Chef Amon of any food allergies before the day of class by emailing her at aeasley@faylib.org
