Fayetteville author DeLani Bartlette will discuss her book "The Dumond Affair" and answer audience questions.
Wayne Dumond was a vicious serial predator with a troubling past of assault and homicide, not just another criminal. However, a complex network of deceit, manipulation, and influence freed him from prison. After being freed he struck again, ruthlessly killing two more people.
Through exclusive interviews and compelling details, investigative writer D.R. Bartlette tells the terrifying true story of how a monster was able to escape punishment due to a corrupt legal system, political ambition, and conspiracy theories.
About the Author: DeLani Bartlette’s fascination with true crime started at age 8, with an episode of the forensic crime television show Quincy, M.E. She followed her passion for writing by earning a Master’s Degree in journalism, and wrote dozens of articles and essays as a freelance journalist on topics ranging from school lunches to the study of human decomposition – the weirder, the better.

She never tires of learning and writing about true crime, where she can explore the theme of justice – who gets it and who doesn’t, and why.
