Register here! Whether you’re new to the scene or a seasoned cosplayer, this is your chance to show off your work and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Entries accepted until 10:30 AM on September 6.
Join us in celebrating some of NWA's most talented makers at the second annual Maker Faire cosplay contest! This contest is open to all makers. In traditional Maker Faire spirit, the emphasis for this competition is on creativity, craftsmanship, and storytelling.
Registration is free! Complete your registration online before 10:30 AM on September 6. Check-in will be located at bottom of the Event Center stage nearest the entrance.
Each contestant will have approximately 60 seconds on stage. Costumes can be original characters or inspired by history, literature, comics, movies, television, video games, and more. Prizes will be awarded to the top performers!
+ Performance: Stage proficiency and ability to act in character.
+ Craftsmanship: Costume appearance, complexity, creativity, and movement.
+ Storytelling: Accuracy to the original character’s costume and story or originality and interpretation.
+ Costumes must be suitable for all ages and family-friendly.
+ No real weapons or prop guns.
+ No use of projectiles, flames, fireworks, smoke, or lasers.
+ No jumping off the stage, live animals (except service animals), or frightening audio devices.
+ Contestants must adhere to all library safety and conduct guidelines.
+ By participating, you agree that any photos or videos taken may be used for promotional purposes.
The contest is open to all ages. Contestants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present.
