WordPlay: Memoir Writing Workshop – Uncover YOUR Story *

Schmieding Foundation Teen Project Room (2nd Floor)This month-long writing workshop is for young writers interested in developing their creative writing skills.
Students having completed grades 5-11 will write both in class and independently from home. The workshop will help students write a memoir, and will focus on aspects such as journaling and the creative ways they can tell their unique story. Participants will be invited to publish some of their work in a literary zine at the end of the workshop.
This is a hybrid workshop with an option for virtual attendance via Zoom, so participants can attend however is most convenient for them (in person or from home).
Registration is required and supplies will be provided, but students are welcome to bring their own writing materials if they prefer. Registration opens June 16. This series is part of our 2026 Summer Reading program, Unearth A Story!
