Animation Class with Tatum Collective *
(Completed Grades 3–9)
Thursday, July 23
1:00pm - 3:00pm
Fayetteville Public Library
Schmieding Foundation Teen Project Room (2nd Floor)This class introduces students to the fundamentals of animation using the FlipaClip app. Students will need to bring a tablet or iPad for this workshop.
Students will learn how drawings create the illusion of movement through sequencing, timing, and simple frame-by-frame techniques. Beginning with basic exercises, students quickly move into creating short, original animations. The structure allows beginners to jump in with confidence, while more advanced students can expand into more detailed motion, character action, and storytelling.
Students will need to bring an iPad or a touchscreen tablet. Devices with a stylus are strongly recommended for the best drawing experience.
The focus is on understanding how animation works at a fundamental level, giving students practical skills they can continue to build on.
