Better Boards for Nonprofits Series

In this session, we will explore how Boards and Executive Directors can set themselves up for success in working together to achieve an organization’s goals.

The most critical relationship in any nonprofit organization is the relationship between the Board of Directors and the Executive Director. A close working relationship amongst a nonprofit’s leadership requires time, intentionality, vulnerability, and the right procedures. We will examine feedback from effective Board / ED pairs for ideas on navigating this critical relationship.

This four-part series, happening weekly throughout October, will explore the necessary board policies, volunteer management strategies, and distribution of power needed for Board members and Executive Directors to move nonprofits forward. Join us on Wednesday, October 28 for the final session, From Bored to Board – Keeping Your Board Engaged.
