Persona Poetry with Ash Goedker *

Join us for an evening engaging your imagination through reading and writing persona poems!

We will spend this session exploring what it means to wear a mask, to write from another fictional character, identity, or persona. We will consider the relationship between the reader and the speaker that develops within the context of a persona poem. What are the freedoms or limitations that one permits when they write/ or read a poem with a mask? 

Furthering our depth of understanding, participants will develop their own persona to write poems throughout the workshop.
