Join University of Arkansas Walton College of Business student Farid Noori as he shares his childhood memories of Afghanistan.
With an influx of refugees from Afghanistan resettled in Northwest Arkansas through nonprofits like Canopy, it is more important than ever to learn about our new neighbors. Farid will share memories of growing up in Afghanistan, the beauty of the landscape and how his love of biking and his home country led him to found the nonprofit Mountain Bike Afghanistan. Through this nonprofit, Farid is on a personal mission to connect people across cultures through a shared love of cycling.
Noori graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont with an undergraduate degree in economics and is currently pursuing his MBA from the Walton College of Business. The world-renowned mountain biking and cycling trails brought him to Northwest Arkansas.
Afghan chai will be available following the program.
