Join Fort Smith author Judy Harrington to hear about following her childhood dream to write after her retirement, self-publishing and writing in multiple genres!

Judy Harrington grew up in Mountainburg and moved to Fort Smith after graduating high school. She spent 38 years working at Whirlpool, then retirement gave her the opportunity to pursue her childhood dream of writing. Judy has self published three books and is working on the fourth.

A.B.I.L. (Artificial Biological Intelligence Lifeform) was published in June 2020 and is a soft sci-fi, mystery, with a hint of romance. It broaches the idea of an AI android coming to life and is centered around a post-apocalyptic, scientific lab called DomeWorld. Ultimately ABIL is forced to flee Earth to avoid extinction.

A.B.I.L. Returns was released in October 2021. It picks up 15 years after the first book and ABIL returns from the moon where he had escaped to prevent the military from hunting him down and shutting down his AI circuits.

Frozen Secrets was released in August 2022 and is a suspenseful novel, murder mystery, also with a hint of romance. It is based around an Alaskan cruise, which was Tessa Locklear’s dream vacation. While she is snapping photos of an iceberg, she zooms in on a dark vein, only to discover that it is actually a frozen body. The victim is a Canadian Mountie, who has been missing since he began his undercover investigation on the Russian drug-trafficking syndicate.
