Tech is the New Hip Hop is designed to help entrepreneurs take those first steps toward a launching a startup.

Join us for this immersive 4-week series with local entrepreneur and digital strategist, Alvin Singh, as we learn about the tools and resources needed to launch a startup from scratch. Alvin will go over digital strategy, funding, media and marketing; providing expert advise on the first steps of launching a startup to give you the confidence to make your first moves.

Northwest Arkansas is a community rich with resources for small businesses and startups, but just knowing where to begin can be tricky. This workshop will help participants understand and locate these resources and identify opportunities.

This workshop series is one to not be missed and seats are limited, so please sign up soon! Please try to attend all sessions.

Why is a start up workshop called Tech is the New Hip Hop? Workshop facilitator Alvin Singh says "because right now we are living in an era where you can bypass the old gatekeepers and take advantage of the internet in a way that previous generations didn’t have available."

Alvin Singh is a digital strategist manager at ARS Media Group and has designed and developed mobile applications that can be found in various app stores and has been an angel investor for several successful start ups. He is the author of a book titled Manage Your Web, and has instructed an online course of the same name. His dedication to technology and entrepreneurship doesn’t stop with business enterprise; Singh also spearheaded a crowd funding campaign that reached its goal to build sustainable water pumps in rural Africa.

Born in Nashville, Singh received a B.A. in Political Science from Hampton University and a Masters in Communication in Digital Media at the University of Washington. He specializes in digital communications strategies, social media marketing, and online distribution.
