Students will design and build synthetic pollinators.
Pollinators, such as bees, butterflies, and birds, play an integral role in our day to day lives by helping to produce food, keep our environment clean, and keeping our economy in check. However, in recent years, the number of pollinators has dropped rapidly and is continuing to do so. To help combat this growing issue, students will design and build synthetic pollinators using simple craft materials to supplement. Additionally, students will learn about composting as a form of recycling the nutrients in our food waste.
