At this program, Dr. Jonell Hudson will review signs and symptoms of asthma, possible triggers for an asthma exacerbation, appropriate asthma treatment focusing on inhaled medications, and how to use an asthma action plan.
Dr. Jonell Hudson is an Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences-Northwest Regional Campus. She has been a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist since 2002 and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist since 2015. Dr Hudson serves as Clinical Pharmacy faculty for the Family Medicine Residency Program where she educates and manages patients with a variety of disease states including diabetes and breathing related disorders. In clinic, she also plays a vital role in clinical quality improvement and population health management insuring appropriate use of medication therapy. She is involved in research related to diabetes self-management education and support (DSMES), medication adherence, and health disparities. She is a Fayetteville native and proud graduate of the University of Arkansas.
