Join Suzanne Underwood Rhodes, the Poet Laureate of Arkansas, for a poetry reading on the Gathering Glade.
Suzanne Underwood Rhodes will be sharing poems from Flying Yellow, her latest full-length collection, and new poems from her chapbook-in-progress. Equal to if not greater than the power of imagery and figures of speech, she prizes the musical qualities of language, and tunes her words for rhythm and sound associations, knowing that these embody meanings. She writes with an eye to something else, as Aristotle said, something transcendent, and hopes her poems will touch the hearts and minds of those who honor her by listening to her words.
