Space and science inspire art in this workshop with artist and instructor, Art Girl Shay.

Cosmic Art with Art Girl Shay is a 2 hour class during which attendees will be guided through creating their own interpretations of galaxies and nebulas. During the class attendees will utilize photos for inspiration, and their own imaginations to unfold the wonders of the cosmos via artistic expression.

Shay is a self-taught acrylic and digital artist. Her work spans across various styles, mediums, and subject matter. She has a deep love of the psychology of colors and lines and how they work together to set the tone for a piece. The symbolism behind colors, shapes, and lines often influences how she uses them in her work. She enjoys being able to manipulate the synergy between lines and colors to mold a viewer’s experience when engaging with her work.

She is passionate about not limiting creative expression. She believes that it’s a gift to be able to harness the magic of creative energy in her professional and everyday life and translate that magic into art that speaks to others. Through an artistic career her intent is to inspire others to stay curious, adventurous, and open to the expression of their own creative energy in more ways than one. She wants for those who come in contact with her and her work to feel like they too have the power to create whatever they want to see and experience life in whatever ways they truly desire.

Her ever evolving work and career is a testament to the way that she experiences life—as a continuous unfolding of creative wonder and experimentation.
