Come join us as we partner with KUAF's The 'R' Word podcast to screen the documentary The Big Payback: Fear and Reparations In the American Suburb. The film follows an Illinois alderwoman who led the passage of the first tax-funded reparations for Black Americans. The struggle to accomplish this goal for a single community is juxtaposed against the national conversation around paying reparations. After the 85 minute runtime, attendees are encouraged to participate in a Q&A/discussion time.
