Everyone is invited to apply! Applications will be scored based on a list of criteria so please review the information below to determine if your product is a right fit for the program.
In order to be considered for the From Maker to Market program, applicants must:
+ Have begun writing their business plan or the plan for their prototype
+ Be available for weekly evening and weekend classes for 12 weeks
+ Be able to make a working version of their product with the tools available in the Center for Innovation
+ Product description (20 points)
+ Business plan viability (20 points)
+ Attendance (20 points)
+ Date of business launch and post-product launch reporting (20 points)
+ Ability to build a complete prototype with Center For Innovation tools (10 points)
+ Fundraising experience (10 points)
The program consists of two parts: a skills training and product prototyping phase, followed by an idea, business and funding development phase which will be open to graduates of Phase 1. Each phase runs for six weeks on evenings and weekends.
Applications for the third session will be accepted through May 31.

+ Will remove many existing barriers entrepreneurs face when trying to launch a product
+ An overview of real-life business development topics (ex. identifying your target audience, writing a business plan, discovering funding options, creating and registering trademarks, marketing)
