How To Apply Yourself is a free seminar for artists that demystifies the grant application process for the sixth cohort of the Artists 360 grant program.
Artists 360, a program of Mid-America Arts Alliance, is a program providing grant funding and professional development opportunities to individual artists of all disciplines in the Arkansas counties of Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Sebastian, and Washington. This program will provide an information session for the grant as well as professional development for working and aspiring artists.
David Wayne Reed (he/him/his) is the Constituent Engagement Specialist at Mid-America Arts Alliance. Reed is an award-winning writer/director creating works inspired by narratives of landscape, memory, transformation, and time. His work can be found on the page, on stage, and on screen. Reed has received grants from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Arts, Arts KC, and Puffin Foundation. He is a Charlotte Street Generative Performing Arts Fellow and has been in residency at Escape to Create, Charlotte Street, and Tallgrass Artist Residency. Reed was appointed and served as Acting Chair/Vice-Chairman of the Municipal Arts Commission of Kansas City, Missouri and on the executive committee for the 1% for Public Art at the new Kansas City International Airport from 2020-2024.
