Celebrate Free Comic Book Day by drawing your own splash page!
Join storyteller and cartoonist Zeke Peña as he shows you how to draw comics! Participants will focus on creating their very own "splash page," which is usually the first dynamic page of a comic book designed to draw the reader into the story. Students will receive hands-on instruction from Zeke, illustrator of the award-winning titles My Papi Has a Motorcycle and Photographic: The Life of Graciela Iturbide. Most recently, Zeke provided the illustrations and cover artwork for Jason Reynolds' Spider-Man novel, Miles Morales: Suspended.
Supplies will be provided, but seating is limited and registration is required. Registration opens April 13 at 9 a.m.
