Advanced tips, techniques, and more!

Curious to learn more about laser engraving? This class builds upon the fundamentals discussed in Learning Lab: Lasers and dives deeper into some of the more complex aspects of file prep and machine operation. We will explore a wide range of topics such as... 

  • The rotary tool
  • "Stamp Mode" & 3D engraving
  • Kerf: Does it matter? 
  • High-resolution engraving & image editing
  • Creating 3D objects from STL/OBJ files
  • CO2 vs diode vs fiber lasers
  • Laser marking for product ID and branding

Participants are encouraged to bring any questions, challenges, tips, and tricks related to laser engraving to share with the class!

Please note that this program is not the same as CFI's Learning Lab: Lasers, and does not replace the orientation or grant participants an equipment badge. Please complete Learning Lab: Lasers before attending this class. Click here to find upcoming orientations.
