Max Brailler, author of The Last Kids on Earth, will give a fun, funny, and informative presentation about how his childhood informs his writing, where he gets his ideas from, and other topics.

Max Brallier is the #1 New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of more than fifty books, including the middle-grade series The Last Kids on Earth.

Under the pen name Jack Chabert, Max is the creator and author of the Eerie Elementary series for Scholastic Books and author of the New York Times bestselling graphic novel Poptropica: Mystery of the Map.

He is the creator and writer of Galactic Hot Dogs, a goofy middle-grade adventure series, and has written books for properties including LEGO, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe, and Uncle Grandpa. Max has written for adults, including the pick-your-own-path series Can YOU Survive the Zombie Apocalypse? and an entry in the zombie anthology Nights of the Living Dead.

Max will deliver a fun, funny, and informative presentation about how his childhood informs his writing, where he gets his ideas from, the importance (and, yes, joy!) of revising, among other topics. His presentation will be geared toward grades K-6 but all ages are welcome.

Pearl’s Books will be on-site to sell books, and a signing will follow the presentation.

Registration isn’t required, but we’d appreciate it if you let us know you plan to attend. It helps us ensure the right room size and allows us to send you event reminders!

True Lit is in collaboration with the Fayetteville Public Library, Fayetteville Public Schools, Fayetteville Public Education Foundation, and University of Arkansas Program in Creative Writing and Translation.
