Tuesday, September 01
6:00pm - 7:30pm
Fayetteville Public Library
Walker Community Room (3rd Floor)Experience the film "A Haunting in Venice", when a single evening turns strange in ways no one expects.
Join us for the first of three events honoring Agatha Christie, the Queen of Crime. 2026 marks 50 years since the death of Agatha Christie, the best-selling fiction writer of all time.
Directed by Kenneth Branagh, A Haunting in Venice is a chilling mystery based on Agatha Christie’s novel Hallowe’en Party. Set in post‑war Venice, the film follows detective Hercule Poirot as he is drawn out of retirement to attend a séance in a crumbling palazzo. The evening begins to spiral into a web of secrets, suspicion, and supernatural dread. This atmospheric whodunit blends classic Christie intrigue with gothic thrills, perfect for a haunting autumn night.
Our second event will be September 2--A lecture and discussion with Dr. Casey Kayser, U of A English professor and Agatha Christie superfan.
