Explore the transformative role of end-of-life doulas, their impact on families, and how they help smooth one of life’s toughest transitions.

This one-hour interactive workshop offers a compassionate introduction to the role of an end-of-life doula and how this non-medical support complements hospice and medical care. Participants will learn how doulas provide emotional, practical, and spiritual support for individuals and families navigating serious illness, dying, caregiving, and grief. Whether you are planning ahead, supporting a loved one, or simply curious, this session provides clarity, confidence, and gentle guidance for having meaningful end-of-life conversations.

Three Key Takeaways

  • Clarity on the Role of an End-of-Life Doula: Understand what EOL doulas do, how they differ from hospice, and how they support both individuals and families.
  • Confidence in Knowing When Support May Be Helpful: Recognize the moments when additional guidance, advocacy, and emotional support can ease overwhelm and decision-making.
  • Practical Next Steps for Thoughtful Planning: Leave with simple tools to begin conversations, explore values and wishes, and identify supportive resources.

This program is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

About the presenter

Alison Nail-Malone is a credentialed End of Life Doula and Guide, as well as a Grief Educator and Coach. With over 15 years of experience in career and life coaching, and 20 years in talent training and development, Alison brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice. Her journey into end-of-life care was profoundly shaped by her personal experience as a caregiver, decision-maker, and companion for her father until his passing in July 2020. This transformative experience inspired her to become an End of Life Doula. Alison's deep understanding of grief and the end-of-life process empowers her to guide individuals and families with compassion and wisdom. Join her workshop to explore how to navigate these challenging times with grace and support.
