Why Am I Here? The Right Board Members for the Right Job
Better Boards for Nonprofits Series
Wednesday, October 07
10:00am - 12:00pm
Fayetteville Public Library
Walker Community Room (3rd Floor)In this session, we will explore how to establish simple concrete goals for your nonprofit and how to recruit the right people to achieve your goals.
Effective nonprofit Board members know their specific role on the Board of Directors, which aligns with their skills, strengths, and community connections. This begins with effective strategic planning. We will explore what makes a Board member great, how to avoid common pitfalls of Board recruitment, and where to find leadership potential in your community.
This four-part series, happening weekly throughout October, will explore the necessary board policies, volunteer management strategies, and distribution of power needed for Board members and Executive Directors to move nonprofits forward. Join us on Wednesday, October 14 for the next session, Equipping Your Nonprofit Board for Success.
This series is presented in partnership with Melanie Palmer Consulting.
