Walmart Story Time Room

Enjoy the story of fry bread, a traditional Native American food, and then make some in the kitchen with Chef Matt!

Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with two favorite things: stories and food! We will be reading and talking about the book Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story by Kevin Noble Maillard to learn about the bread's importance to Native American culture, and then we will head to the kitchen to make and sample fry bread with Chef Matt. This program is for kids in grades 1–4 and registration is required.

Curious about fry bread? There are many recipes out there! Here is one similar to what we will be making!
