CFI Career Exploration: Aviation

Join us and the crew from Fly ARH to learn more about the aviation field and what it takes to become a pilot.

We are exploring various careers in this Center for Innovation series! Learn how the Center for Innovation's Simulation Lab can help launch you into a new career path and talk to industry experts to learn what it takes to make that jump a reality. 

In June we will be taking a leap into the friendly skies with flight instructor, Bailey, from Fly ARH. 

Learn about the steps to becoming a pilot, explore various career paths and learn a little more about FPL's Redbird Flight Simulator. 

Bailey Barcelon has been flying since late 2018, beginning in Phoenix AZ, moving to Salt Lake City UT, then to Little Rock AR, before finally landing here in Fayetteville. Bailey has been a flight instructor for over 2 years and has logged around 1,100 hours. Becoming a pilot and instructor has been one of the most challenging but rewarding things she has ever done. She especially enjoys those moments for students when something just clicks into place, and she can watch them grow as pilots and people throughout the process.
