Join Kate Hart for an introduction to working with literary agents for writers interested in pursuing traditional publishing.
Topics will include what literary agents do, how to find them, how the publishing process works and red flags to watch for, as well as a short primer on how to write query letters.
Kate Hart is the author of "After the Fall - Macmillan" and a contributor to the anthologies "Toil and Trouble - Harlequin Teen", "Hope Nation - Philomel", Out Now - Inkyard" and "Body Talk - Algonquin". A former member of YA Highway, three-time pick for Writer's Digest's "101 Best Websites for Writers," Kate has appeared at young adult literature festivals across the country as well as the Imanoli Writing Conference, the Arkansas Association of Instructional Media, Madcap Retreats and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. A citizen of the Chickasaw Nation with Choctaw heritage, Kate lives on an Ozark mountainside with her family, where she co-owns Natural State Treehouses and enjoys fiber arts, gardening and hiking.
