Featuring local hip-hop artist Jasper Logan, this series is designed to bring together musicians of all levels to learn songwriting and music production techniques with support from local experts.

Take your music to the next level through this collaborative program that will help you hone your writing skills, expand your music production knowledge, and offer opportunities to connect to industry experts. Attendees will learn about music writing, beat making, operating a DAWS (ProTools and Logic) and more in this hands-on series. This program will culminate with a concert in the library's event center and a collaborative album featuring music produced in these workshops!

Song writing sessions: October 6th & 20th

Music production sessions: November 3rd & 17th

Graphic design sessions: December 1st & 8th

This workshop meets for 6 sessions, please make sure you can attend ALL sessions.

This program is part of a pilot cohort for ALA’s Civic Imagination Stations, supported by The Estée Lauder Companies WRITING CHANGE initiative. WRITING CHANGE is a three-year global literacy initiative in partnership with Amanda Gorman, the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history, award-winning writer, and Estée Lauder Global Changemaker. Libraries will partner with local artists to implement arts programming that builds literacy and digital skills.
