Learn the basics of Blender for 3D printing in a 3-part workshop series presented by Richard Young! This workshop is open to guests aged 13 and older, and no prior experience with Blender is required.
Throughout these workshops, we'll create props for a fantasy-themed miniature diorama. So, attendance at each workshop is highly encouraged.
Workshop 1 (May 11): Introduction to Blender
You'll learn the basics, including navigating Blender, creating primitive shapes, and applying colors. This workshop will showcase Blender's many use cases and help you confidently navigate a 3D program.
Workshop 2 (May 18): 3D Modeling Workflows in Blender
We'll dive into 3D modeling workflows in Blender. You'll create more complex shapes and props for your diorama using reference images and modifiers. This workshop will help you develop your 3D modeling skills and take them to the next level.
Workshop 3 (May 25): Blender and 3D Printing
We'll explore 3D printing workflows in Blender. You'll learn to use Blender's native add-on, 3D Print Toolbox, and prepare your objects for 3D printing.
Take advantage of this opportunity to learn a new skill and create your own diorama props using Blender and 3D printing!
Workshop is designed for patrons 13 and up.
Computers will be provided, but participants should bring a flash drive to store their work.
