Made more widely know from its appearance in Disney's Encanto, the arepa can be found throughout northern South American, especially in Colombia and Venezuela. In its base form, the arepa is made with just water, salt, and masarepa, a pre-cooked corn flour, but there are so many ways to have the arepa - filled with cheese, stuffed with chicken, avocado, or pork, or topped with beans and cheese. Come and learn how to make this simple, tasty, gluten-free treat!
