Learn the basics of digital animation using Photoshop and digital drawing tablets.
Learn the old-fashioned methods for hand-drawn animation (the way Disney used to do) on new-fashioned equipment! With the guidance of instructor Amy Cooper, use Photoshop's specialized animation tools to apply the principles of animation and come out of the class with a hand-drawn moving picture of your very own! Don't draw much? Don't worry! If you can draw circles and squiggles, you're good to go!
Amy Cooper has over 10 years of professional experience in illustration, animation, and storyboarding (and decided in fifth grade, after attending a library program, that an animator is exactly what she wanted to be!) She has worked in video games, advertising, and television, which includes an award winning commercial for the UofA and character animation for the television series Boruto. When Amy isn't drawing, she enjoys ballroom dance, reading books on her small office sofa, and sewing costumes.
