Join us for an empowering afternoon with Mercury Stardust, the Trans Handy Ma'am, as she shares her journey blending DIY home repair skills with the wisdom from her New York Times bestselling book, Safe and Sound: A Renter-Friendly Guide to Home Repair. With her motto, "You're worth the time it takes to learn a new skill," Mercury will inspire you to embrace new challenges, whether it’s fixing a leaky sink or tackling life’s obstacles. Following the talk, she'll be signing copies of her book, offering a chance to connect and learn more about how taking the time to learn new skills can transform your confidence and your home.

A limited amount of copies of Safe and Sound: A Renter-Friendly Guide to Home Repair will be available for purchase beginning at noon, thanks to Two Friends Bookstore. 


Mercury Stardust (she/they) is a professional home maintenance technician, performer, and award-winning activist. Known widely as the Trans Handy Ma'am, their unique blend of compassionate education in the home repair space has earned them internet fame. With over 2.5 million followers on TikTok and over 1 million followers on Instagram, Mercury spreads DIY knowledge with love. Their expertise includes rental maintenance, landlord negotiations, clogs, drywall, painting, minor electrical repairs, caulking, and more.
