Join us as we partner with the Zacchaeus Foundation and KUAF to screen the documentary The Big Payback. The film follows Illinois alderman Robin Rue Simmons, who led the passage of the first tax-funded reparations for Black Americans. The struggle to accomplish this goal for a single community is juxtaposed against the national conversation around paying reparations. After the film, attendees will be treated to a video message from Simmons.
