Build your team and take on the marble run challenge with artist Fitz Fitzgerald! Create dazzling light displays and compete for awards. Fun for all ages!

Are you ready to put your creativity and teamwork to the test? Join local artist Fitz Fitzgerald for an electrifying challenge where art meets engineering! Teams and individuals will compete to design and build unique marble runs that light up the board in spectacular ways. Using a variety of quirky and donated materials—think PVC pipes, cardboard tubes, wood channels, and chicken wire—you’ll craft a masterpiece that activates a dazzling sequence of lights. Whether you’re a seasoned builder or a first-time tinkerer, this event promises fun for all ages and skill levels!

Who can participate? 

  • Teams: 2–4 people, ages 6–106, with at least one member under age 12. 
  • Individuals: Ages 12 and up.

Space provided: 

  • Teams will have a 2’ x 4’ pegboard. 
  • Individuals can choose between a 1’ x 4’ or 2’ x 2’ pegboard.

Materials: A wide range of materials will be supplied to bring your creations to life!

How to sign up: Register yourself and be sure to select "Add More People" to register the rest of your team. Spots are limited, so sign up today!

Timeline:
12:00 PM: Introduction and rules
12:30 PM: Build time begins
4:00 PM: Build time ends
4:30 PM: Awards
