Walker Family Teaching Kitchen (1st Floor)

Earn your ServSafe® Food Handler Certification and learn about important restaurant kitchen basics in this four-part series. Attendance at all four sessions is required for this course.

Restaurants in the area are struggling to find, secure, and keep qualified staff for back-of-house positions. FPL wants to help YOU obtain employment and help our local businesses.

This 4-day course, including a ServSafe® Food Handler certification, is a win-win for the local economy and our community.  

  • Are you interested in venturing into the restaurant and hospitality industry, but don’t know where to start?
  • Have you been in the business before, but need a refresher and updated ServSafe® Food Handler certificate?
  • Are you working in fast food and want to transition to a local restaurant?
  • Do you want to be the most hirable, trained, and competitive candidate for local restaurant jobs, with the opportunity to earn more based on the experience you’ll gain through this training?
  • Are you just curious about working in a restaurant and want to see if it’s the right field for you?

* All four dates are required to receive the certification:

  • Monday, April 28
  • Wednesday, April 30

  • Wednesday, May 7
