Join FPL and the University of Arkansas Department of Mathematical Sciences in celebrating Arkansas Math Discovery Day! Visit the Center for Innovation and meet Zumi, a fully programmable car with built-in AI.
Inspired by the world-famous Micromouse competition, your goal is to guide Zumi through a challenging obstacle course—using nothing but code! Whether you choose block-based coding or Python, you'll need to apply math to make Zumi follow the path, make precise turns, and adjust speed to stay on track. But be careful—you only get three attempts!
No coding experience? No problem! We’ll provide all the information you need to experiment, learn, and problem-solve. Drop in and give it a try!
