Join FPL's own Chef Amon as we learn all about using garlic for maximum effect.

Aaaaah, garlic. The original social distancing tool. It makes everything better -- except maybe your breath! We won't mince words: life is too short for weak flavor. And it's more than just flavor; it's aroma therapy

In this class we will learn about the bold bulb sometimes called "The Stinking Rose."

Whether you are the type who believes it is an aromatic to be delicately balanced with other flavors or the type who is convinced that there's no such thing as too much garlic, there will be something for everyone as we gain insight into this pungently popular product.

We will learn techniques of preparing garlic, as well as some recipes that highlight its various flavor profiles (raw with a spicy bite vs. roasted mellow and sweet, for example).

Please be prepared with the following safety guidelines:

  • Hairnets and aprons will be provided. You may wear a clean hat of your own if you prefer.
  • Long hair should be restrained.
  • Please wear long pants and closed-toed shoes.

All abilities are welcome. For disability accommodations, call 479.856.7250 or email questions@faylib.org 2-3 weekdays before a program. Plan your visit by viewing our building map and details on accessibility services.
