This interactive seminar led by David Scott Cunningham of the University of Arkansas Press will introduce you to the network of institutions that invented book publishing nearly 500 years ago.

We’ll talk about the origins of the enterprise, its abiding role in the world of letters, and how it gives researchers and creative writers a distinctive outlet for books of uncommon sophistication.

This workshop is part of our new annual Writers Weekend series for adults interested in writing and publishing their work, including poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and journalistic writing of all lengths and styles. Join us to sharpen your skills, connect with fellow writers, and take the next step toward publication!

About the presenter

David Scott Cunningham has been the editor-in-chief of the University of Arkansas Press for twelve years, acquiring and developing new book manuscripts for publication, including regional trade titles, history, poetry and literature, art and architecture, African American studies, food studies, and sport studies.
