Meeting: Starr Foundation Children's Craft Room

Join FPL Visiting Artist Erin Lorenzen for a fun-filled, fiber-art-based workshop.

Together, we will use upcycled materials and basic stitch techniques to create a collaborative craft that will be installed at the library in April 2022! Participants will receive art kits to create a piece of their own.

Erin Lea Lorenzen is a multimedia artist whose work explores the relationship between inner experiences and the outer environment. She earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Art and Spanish in 2002 and a Master's in Counseling in 2020. Her multimedia work has been celebrated through regional, national and international exhibitions and publications, as well as a grant, a scholarship, a juried selection, a residency, and purchase awards. She has consistently brought Art, Yoga, and Craft programs and events to neighborhood and community centers, detention and rehabilitation facilities, youth service organizations, and exhibition spaces for the past twenty years. Lorenzen loves working in Fiber Arts, often with non-traditional materials. Some of her most popular classes and workshops in the past few years have been centered around stitching and repurposing household materials. Lorenzen has also been practicing and teaching yoga for 20 years.
