Join us for a poetry workshop!
In this class, we will read, write and learn to critique work. Bring five copies of a poem you've written with you to class to workshop in small groups.
Allison Blevins is a poet and publisher who writes confessional free verse poetry and finds inspiration in both traditional and pop culture. She writes to confess her sins and connect with a world she feels largely disconnected from as a neurodiverse person and a person with a physical disability. Her work centers difference and queerness in a world that seeks to other, to push her to the margins. She uses hybrid techniques to open the boundaries of free verse. Her work lives in a space between poetry, flash nonfiction, and abstract art.
