This class is intended for those interested in recording in the Audio Recording Studio in the Center for Innovation. Completion of both audio 101 and 102 is required for studio access.

The Audio 101 class deals with some technical audio basics such as:

  • frequency
  • wavelength
  • amplitude
  • phase
  • Fletcher Munson Curve
  • sound pressure
  • decibels
  • levels
  • sample rate
  • bit depth
  • buffer size
  • latency
  • microphone types
  • cable types   

 

This class is taken in conjunction with Audio 102, a more hands on class that deals with our specific studio – completion of an Audio 102 class is required for certification to use the designated equipment--register separately.

This is a basic course that will orient patrons to the equipment and tools available in the Center for Innovation.
