Cuttlebone Casting

CFI: Koenig Family Fabrication & Robotics Lab (1st Floor)Patrons will learn the history and process of cuttlebone casting while getting hands-on experience carving and casting in pewter.
This hands-on workshop will teach participants about the art and history of cuttlebone casting. Using bones of the cuttlefish has been a technique used in mold making and casting for hundreds of years by jewelers and other artists. Participants will get a chance to carve their own cuttlebone and practice casting in pewter.
