Screening of the Ozark Society film directed and produced by Michelle West

Created for the 50th anniversary of the designation of the Buffalo as America's first National River, this film identifies the people and organizations that thwarted plans by the Army Corps of Engineers to dam the Buffalo. In the interest of hydroelectric power, it was slated to be part of a system of dams on the White River, and a battle over the fate of this natural wonder began.

After the screening there will be a discussion with some members of the Ozark Society.
