FPL is excited to partner with Hedberg Allergy, Big Box Karaoke and KUAF to bring the Be(A)ware Allergy-Friendly Halloween event to the library for the second year in a row!
The event will begin with special Halloween show by Mömandpöp at 10 a.m. with a repeat performance at 11 a.m. in the Event Center. The first 200 attendees at both shows will receive a goody bag!
Kids are invited to visit various allergy-friendly trick-or-treat stations around the library and enjoy games on the Gathering Glade. After the show, visit the Gathering Glade for bouncy houses and head to the Youth Libraries to enjoy a special Halloween performance by the University of Arkansas Flute Ensemble.
It is Be(A)ware's second year at the library, but the fourth year overall. This event creates a fun, inclusive and safe space for all children, those who suffer from food allergies and those who don’t. Get your costume ready for this unique celebration!
Mömandpöp is Little Rock based husband-and-wife musical comedy duo, Bobby Matthews and Virginia Ralph. Together they create songs, videos, and live performances for the very young and their families. They currently write music for Arkansas PBS' educational show "Blueberry's Clubhouse" and have music videos featured on the PBS summer series, "Rise and Shine." They tour locally and nationally, as well as lead classes and camps through their latest Little Rock venture, "The Hillcrest Children's Theatre Company."
The University of Arkansas Flute Ensemble is formed by members of the University of Arkansas Flute Studio and is currently performing around our community to share the beauty of diverse music composed and arranged specifically for flute ensemble under the direction of Dr. Ronda Mains and Prof. Catalina Ortega.
