Celebrate National Novel Writing Month with a series of write-ins!
Writers participating in the annual novel-writing challenge are welcome to attend any or all of the four scheduled write-ins (November 12, 19, 22, and 28) for a dedicated quiet space to work on their manuscript. Each write-in is open for three hours, and writers are welcome to drop in and leave any time. This event is in partnership with the NWA chapter of NaNoWriMo and is open to adults and teens. Writers are encouraged to bring their own writing materials, though limited supplies will be available should participants need them.
National Novel Writing Month began in 1999 as a daunting but straightforward challenge: to write 50,000 words of a novel in thirty days. Now, each year on November 1, hundreds of thousands of people around the world begin to write, determined to end the month with 50,000 words of a brand new novel. They enter the month as elementary school teachers, mechanics or stay-at-home parents. They leave novelists.
Please note: these events do not take place in the same room or at the same time every week. Check the rooms and times at the links below.
