Karen Tricot Steward is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in audio editing, storytelling, and podcasting. As a passionate advocate for the power of podcasting, Karen helps individuals and organizations utilize this medium to achieve their communication goals and make a positive impact in the world. She is dedicated to staying up-to-date with the evolving podcast industry and regularly attends industry conferences and workshops. Karen is a member of the Association of Independents in Radio (AIR), a global community that provides training for podcasters, story editors, and audio producers. As the co-founder of the Arkansas Podcast Collaborative, a nonprofit supporting podcasters in Arkansas, she is committed to nurturing and growing the local podcasting community.
Throughout her career, Karen has made significant contributions to the field of audio production. She previously worked as a reporter, anchor, and Content Development Director at KUAR 89.1, the NPR affiliate station in Little Rock. Her news reports and special programs reached an audience of approximately 80,000 listeners per week and were recognized with awards from the Associated Press and the Society of Professional Journalists. Karen has also shared her expertise by teaching audio production and scriptwriting to college students at UA Little Rock. Her work extends beyond journalism, as she has worked in copywriting and project management at an advertising agency and as a content creator and website manager for Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah. Karen's dedication to amplifying diverse voices and ideas through podcasting makes her an invaluable presenter.
Ti King is a co-founder of the Arkansas Podcast Collaborative nonprofit and a driving force behind the growth and success of the podcasting industry in Arkansas. He co-hosts the Healthy Business Podcast and the ARKAST Podcast, showcasing his passion for highlighting diverse voices and talents within the state. Ti's commitment to promoting the podcasting community led him to establish the ARKAST: Arkansas Podcast Festival, an annual event that brings together podcasters from across the state to foster industry growth and innovation. As the CEO of American Business Engine, a marketing company based in Little Rock, Ti brings his expertise in entrepreneurship and business development to the workshop.
