Put your business logo to work! Learn how to create amazing swag using Inkscape and Cricut.
Please note: this is a two-part class series. Signing up for this event will automatically register you for April 11th & April 18th.
This workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to turn their business logo into a SVG file as well as demonstrate how you can use a Cricut vinyl cutter for promotional items (such as t-shirts, signage, mugs, and even business cards). The program will be divided into two parts:
Week 1: Inkscape Basics
Learn the fundamentals of Inkscape and how to create/convert a logo into a Vector File (SVG) for use in various cutting machines. "Homework" may be included in this Inkscape class to be used for Week 2.
Week 2: Cricut Heat-pressed Vinyl T-shirts
Explore the many ways that an SVG file can be used to create custom marketing material with hands-on examples. Utilizing the Cricut printer (available at the Center for Innovation), we will make custom t-shirts featuring our vector logos created in Week 1.
